Lisa’s Herb Salad Dressing
posted by virtual chef on Oct 23, 2008 | Salads |
Our friend Lisa Erni (and her husband Ernst) always whip up some fantastic dinner, be it at their wonderful backyard or inside their house. It is always an experience I look forward to and without fail, I come home with new recipe ideas and a full stomach. Lisa made pork rib bbq last Saturday, especially for me. She remembered my pork ribs cravings last August!! I will be posting her bbq rub later in this blog.
She made lentils and a simple wedge salad with this amazing dressing. Most of her ingredients come from her herb garden which I enjoy raiding whenever I can visit. I always end up going home with two paper bags of goodies — oranges, lemons, basil, kale, spring onions, tons of sweet tomatoes….!
Here I use a tablespoon of the salad dressing in a bowl full of crunchy romaine lettuce. Perfect for the piece of pork rib Matt grilled for his dinner this evening.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup minced spring onion
- 1/2 cup minced sweet basil
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and season with salt and pepper to taste.
