Spicy Lemon Pepper Tortilla Chips Homemade

  • 1 cup masa flour (corn flour)
  • 1 tbs lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp mexican chili powder
  • 1/2  cup warm water (or more)

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until it forms a ball, adding more water if needed. Set aside for 10 minutes, covered with wet towel so it does not get dry.
  2. For several smaller balls approximately the size of golf balls. corntortilla2
  3. Press each ball into a flat round disc. Roll until approximately 1/8 inch thick.  If you have a tortilla press, place ball in the center and cover with plastic wrap. Press, flip over and press again. (You have just made your homemade corn tortillas!!)
  4. Cut tortilla rounds into wedges.  Spray or brush with oil.
  5. Bake in preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes or until light brown or edges curl a bit.
  6. Take out of the oven and let cool.  Chips will harden as it cools.
  7. Serve with salsa or dip.

Ooo, these tortilla chips look amazing!! And they don’t look too difficult to make at all. I can’t wait to try these out. Chips and dip are a dangerous thing for a girl like me; I can’t stop myself at just a few :)
