Lasang Pinoy Sundays: i saw the foodSIGN

I wasn’t sure how to interpret this week’s LaPis theme of “I saw the foodSIGN” so I scanned my external drive containing all photos we have taken the last two years to get some ideas. I started with last year’s when we did quite a lot of traveling. In April, we were in Greece for my birthday and to visit old friends who live in the Greek island of Leros. Then we went to Sweden to visit my husband’s family, stopping at several cities in Europe in between. A few months later, we were back in Asia for our yearly visit.
While reviewing the photos, I noticed something very interesting. During these trips, I happened to take pictures of a famous American fastfood restaurant: Burger King! I swear I do not own a Burger King franchise nor do I even eat at BK…a lot. In all these photos, we weren’t there to eat at BK. It just so happened that there was a BK restaurant in the vicinity of where we stopped. How weird is that? Here are three of the photos:
Copenhagen, Denmark
The photo above was taken at the plaza where the City Hall was. My husband and I were walking and enjoying the day, munching on sausages. We were killing time before we take the train to Sweden.
Oskarsham, Sweden
A few days later, we were traveling within Sweden visiting relatives of my husband and we decided to stop at a gas station for a break. Lo and behold, there’s a Burger King. We didn’t eat at this one either. We just stopped and sat in the car, I think. (And no, that wasn’t our car in the picture.)
HONG KONG
Months later, while in Hong Kong for a couple of days (visiting more friends!) and before flying to Manila to visit my family, I took this snapshot at the airport. Hehehe…another Burger King.
All I can say…. I definitely saw the food SIGN! ….. and took lots of pictures!!!
