Lunch at Brooks’ Bar and Deck Edgewood Tahoe

It is something I always look forward to whenever I return home to Lake Tahoe. My time with my girlfriends — the Lunching Ladies. We always find an excuse to get together and have a nice relaxing lunch, enjoying good food and excellent wine whether it is on the ski slopes of Heavenly Ski Resort or just about around town. This year was extra special. They waited for me to return home so we can all celebrate …..LIFE. It was a birthday celebration for one of the ladies. And for me? A celebration of life. The day we scheduled the lunch, there was a winter storm watch. Of course that did not stop us from having fun and a very nice, relaxing afternoon at our favorite Brooks’ Bar and Deck at world famous Edgewood Golf Course here in Lake Tahoe. It was a fantastic lunch, ladies!! Until next time…perhaps at the new Tamarack Lodge up on the ski slopes!
The mouth watering Open Face Rare Ahi Tuna Melt – ciabatta bread, wasabi cream, sliced tomato and choice of melted cheddar cheese
Thai Beef Salad – mixed greens with mint, cilantro, red onions topped with seared slices of beef and a fantastic spicy lime dressing
Fire Cracker Chop Chop – mixed greens, cabbage, chicken satay, toasted cashews, crunchy noodles in sesame soy dressing
Half Pound Sirloin Burger – with cheese, apple wood smoked bacon, grilled onions and sauteed mushrooms
If you are ever in Lake Tahoe, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!!!
LIFE IS TOO SHORT…….enjoy a glass of wine with your meal!

One order of Open Face Rare Ahi Tuna Melt please! Looks so exquisitely yummy!
Toast to a more exciting and much longer life! Cheers!
